Reiki is a Japanese healing art, and I practice in Usui Sensei’s tradition. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word Rei, meaning ‘universal life’ and the work Ki meaning ‘energy’. It is a gentle energy technique. It promotes relaxation and healing in the body and can help reduce stress.
We will begin by talking about how life is going for you and what your goals are for this healing time. You may have goals of gaining insight, connecting with your body and energy, or healing. As with any session I offer, your Reiki session will be personalized based on what you are feeling, what emotions you’re working with, if you have a goal for your healing journey, and what you’d like to experience. If you’re working on releasing, we can talk more about what you’re feeling in the body. I may encourage you to explore the shape, texture, color, and feel of that which you’d like to release prior to beginning your session. If you resonate with Tarot, you can select a card for additional insight and inspiration for your session.
Reiki guided meditations are also available, which can be incorporated into your hour session and take approximately 20 minutes. Holy Fire® Reiki offers the Ocean of Holy Love Experience, Holy Fire Healing Experience, and Healing in the River of Life Experience. Each meditation begins with guidance to a peaceful, relaxed state and then allows you time to rest and heal. This can be done at any point in your session. You have the option to experience this meditation with me sending Reiki to you from within the room or to have hands-on Reiki during your meditation time.
Once we’ve designed your session, we’ll move to the massage table. You will be clothed throughout the session and rest comfortably on the massage table with your shoes removed. A blanket is provided for warmth if needed. The therapist will rest their hands on various locations on your body (head, shoulders, abdomen, hips, knees, feet, etc) and offer the Reiki energy. (Breast tissue and genital areas are never touched during a session.) Being a massage therapist also, I will offer to incorporate rocking and gentle compression during your session. You can also have a portion of your session be gentle craniosacral massage. If you prefer not to be touched, you can let the therapist know and can receive Reiki energy from several inches above the body. You might feel warm in the area receiving Reiki or you may feel a deep sense of relaxation and peace.
After the session, we’ll sit together and check in. You’re welcome to share about your experience if you’d like, and I will offer to share any insights or information I received if you would like to receive that. You may also like to ask questions about your experience, which we can discuss. Some people may not wish to discuss anything and may like to return directly home to journal or rest, which is also acceptable. In that case, your session may be slightly shorter due to time being reserved for discussion after the hands-on portion of the session.

I’m truly honored and excited to offer Reiki courses and to support each of my students on their journey. There is something incredibly special about learning Reiki in person—sharing the space, practicing sessions with one another, and experiencing giving and receiving.
To keep the experience meaningful and personal, I offer both small, intimate classes of 1–3 students as well as larger group courses. Each class is designed to create connection, hands-on learning, and a supportive environment where everyone can explore Reiki together.

Reiki courses qualify for CE requirements for LMTs. All courses will receive a Reiki certificate, LMT CE certificate (if needed), and a supplemental notes packet. Reiki manuals are provided for the Reiki I and Reiki Master courses. Please reach out to me if you need a Reiki manual for the Reiki II course, and we’ll discuss your Reiki I experience.
Both the Reiki I and Reiki II courses are each 8 contact hour courses. The time blocked is 9 hours to allow for an hour lunch, but the course may be slightly shorter if your group decides to schedule a shorter lunch period. You will receive a Reiki manual "Reiki, The Healing Touch" by William Lee Rand. In Reiki I, we will study the history of Reiki, experience a healing meditation, receive the placement, touch on the standards of practice and ethics, look at sample forms for documentation, and learn how to offer Reiki to ourselves and others. In Reiki II, we will review the content of the first course, experience a healing meditation, learn the level 2 symbols, receive the placement, and do a complete Reiki session while practicing using the symbols.
The Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master and Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master courses offered over a three day period and are about 20 hours for each course.
Once you have been practicing with Reiki II for approximately 6 months and reflected on the call to become a Reiki Master, you can participate in the Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master course. You will receive the “Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Master” manual written by William Lee Rand. We will review material from the previous courses, learn about the 12 heavens, experience healing meditations, learn the master symbols, receive the placement and ignitions for the master level, and discuss teaching courses.
Once you’ve been a Reiki Master for 6 months, if you feel called to learn more, you may chose to take theHoly Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master course. You will receive the “Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master” manual. We will review material from all previous courses, explore the Karuna Reiki® symbols, receive ignitions for this master level, and discuss teaching of this course as well as all previous courses.
This course is scheduled for a small group of one to three people and relies of each person’s attendance to take place - a space will be held for you personally. Cancellations within close proximity to the course are impossible to fill and can impact the whole course. Due to the need to reserve three consecutive days on the calendar well in advance, a $170/person non-refundable deposit (25%) is due when reserving the course. The remainder of the funds are due via online invoice which will be sent approximately 2-4 weeks prior to the course. If you wish, once your full tuition is paid, you may receive your Manual to review before the course, either by postal mail or you can pick it up.
I am available for ongoing support after you complete your course. I offer monthly free practice sessions at my home office where you can meet other practitioners, discuss your practice, and ask questions.
